Hi partners! It's 2008 and we are in our second year of implementing a very meaningful campaign to stop child pornography in this part of the country. This is not an easy task for us because of the ongoing political and economic crises we are experiencing. We are also waiting for the release of assistance from Unicef for this year's activities so please bear with us to use your funds for the campaign until the assistance arrives. As we all know Unicef is undergoing some management reorganization and perhaps it will take more time for them to attend to our request. Nonetheless we had met with Beth Gayos early this year and she promised to look into it ASAP. Atty. Ani is still on maternity leave and we hope she is well with her new baby.
We are printing here our report we submitted to Unicef in November for their year-end report. We hope to get your reaction soon.
By the way our ever-dynamic colleague Bro. Richard Joyal, executive director of Balay Pasilungan (BAPAS) was recalled by his superior to Canada. He is replaced by Fr. Pablo. We would be scheduling a ACP Group meeting in April. Bye for now and padayon ta..........
